Guests were presented with a history of the project and an update on the current promotions planned for this unique new attraction, before the ‘ribbon’ was cut to celebrate the opening.

Shire of Morawa CEO, Mr Gavin Treasure said “Exploring Wildflower Country - Wildflower Way has been a project that has been developed through partnerships within the Shires and Councils and is a great example of what can be achieved in regional area’s when everyone works together with one vision.

“This is the first stage of what is expected to be a growing project, a series of 21 interpretive sites that have been developed along the Wildflower Way through Wildflower Country. These sites highlight a diverse and fascinating range of themes and issues.

“The sites feature artistic steel “sculptures” representing some of the people and creatures that have made this region their home. Interpretive panels add detail and depth to the stories being told”.

The unique nature of Wildflower Way provides a colourful and fascinating way to explore our much treasured Wildflower Country.”

Exploring Wildflower Country –Wildflower Way is a project that has been developed by the Shire of Dalwallinu, Shire of Perenjori, Shire of Morawa, Shire of Mullewa and City of Greater Geraldton, with the assistance of funding through the Royalty for Regions program.
